I just had the weirdest dream. And I don't want to forget it, so I'm going to torture you all.
So it started with some kind of school project. I decided I was going to do a big group wedding for queer couples. So I put together an advert for a local magazine, including a collage of all these different celebrities who'll support you.
Anyway, I get to the venue the day of the wedding to start set up, and the thing is already IN FULL SWING. Food is being served. People are getting married. The whole auditorium is packed. Taylor Swift is performing live (in probably the smallest venue she's played in 15 years.)
Sometime during the event, I look up at the collage of celebrities I made for the ad on a big screen over the weddings, and realize half of them are THERE AND TALKING, like on Zoom. Toni Morrison. Neil Gaiman. Jane Lynch and Rosie O'Donnell are doing The Macarena.
In the auditorium, there are kids from a bunch of different cliques, hanging out and talking, but a bunch of adults are hanging around, too. Some of my high school teachers. My college theatre director, Ed, is there, knitting.
Anyway, the party lasts well into the night. I circulate around (get a hug from Taylor Swift; God, it must be a dream), spend some time chatting with the other kids and adults, eat some nibbles. There's a little problem with one of the couples getting their wedding certificate, but the pastor/officiant resolves it quickly. Some folks decide to put on a movie (pretty sure it was Casablanca) and watch that.
When I leave, the party's still going in full swing. It's late, and some of the party has spilled outside. I get to the bus stop, the bus pulls up . . . and that's when I woke up.
I don’t know what the dream was about. It was a weird dream. It was a good dream. And I was more than a little sad to wake up. I basically ran right over to my computer to type out the dream before I lost too much of it.
Anyway, onto the musical theatre part: a medley of Taylor Swift songs, performed by a cast of musical theatre performers: Lilli Cooper, Jennifer Damiano, Blake Daniel, Andrew Durand, Preston Sadleir, and Barrett Wilbert Weed.
This gives me so much hope for my dream of someday writing a Taylor Swift jukebox musical.

OMG This is hilarious! Wish it all comes true. <3
So glad you wrote the dream down and shared it with us. What a thrilling vision. I loved that you didn't have to set it up or make it set underway. shows the power of a great idea! All the best!
